I hope you'll remember me. I was the recipient of the President's Award in May 2003 when I was 19. Since then I passed both registry exams (RVS, RCS) I got married, have two twin boys, I live in New Jersey now and I'm a vascular ultrasound manager for the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPENN). I just submitted an application for two of our labs to be accredited by ICAVL. So I've been busy with my career. Eastwick gave me a lot and I'm thankful.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us to work with another student from your ultrasound department. Both current students, Iveth and Cindy, are exactly what we have learned to expect from Eastwick graduates.
Since the beginning of my experience with students from your school, the quality of student knowledge and training exceeds that of the previous student. Due to the excellent training provided by your ultrasound department, externs are knowledgeable, ambitious, and eager to learn more. Lisa DiLauri's instruction of both scanning procedure and academic material should be commended, as every student that comes through our lab is able to step right in to perform quality echocardiograms.
Again, I thank you for your continued excellent training and look forward to many more exceptional students in the future.

I have to thank Dr. Alenick and all of the employees in the diagnostic department. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. Dr. Alenick has been especially great with bringing me to cardiac conventions discussing the newest surgeries and successful ways to prevent SCD. He has also been kind enough to call several hospitals and fellow cardiologists to help me try to find a career in pediatric echocardiography. For me, pediatrics is my calling and I look forward to my future as a cardiovascular sonographer.

During my 800 hour externship there were many days that the technicicans or the physicians would stand behind me, while I was practicing, and ask me technical questions. If I had not been so well educated by your program I would have been left behind, not able to keep up.
I was told by more than one person that extern students that come from [Eastwick] and HoHoKus were better prepared and had better scanning skills than the students of the prestigious NYU program. That really made me happy to hear. The protocols we learned in scanning class helped me understand the protocols of the hospital which allowed me to be able to keep up with what the techs were showing me and expecting me to know.
